Handbound Designs

Introduction

Clicking on the "Get Started" tab below will take you to the current inventory of completed journals that I have.   I hope to soon have a page up of an inventory of covers that are available.

I only use high quality materials for my journals.  The paper used is either Strathmore  drawing paper, which is great for sketching, or Mohawk Superfine paper. All the paper is fountain pen friendly. The journals are sewn together using a classic Coptic stitch that dates back to the 2nd century and allows the journal to open flat for easy writing and sketching.  I also use waxed Irish Linen thread for durability.  The paper and thread are acid free.

I also do custom Journals with covers that I hand make out of Leather and special papers.  Just send me a message if you would like to customize a journal.

All journal covers come from cigar boxes that have been used in cigar stores and lounges.  I pick only the best boxes; however, inevitably, covers may have superficial scratches or dings, which gives the journal its own special character.

I guarantee that you will be satisfied with all my journals.

NOTE:  If you see one that you like but it is sold out, let me know.  I usually have more covers and I can make you one.

Enjoy.
